The homestead
It is in a historic house from the conquest of the West period that Jody & David welcome you.
For the record, it was originally a small typical wooden lodge build by the pioneers. In 1990, the typical cabin was renovated and the house was enlarged.
Inside, the original all-wood structure is preserved, as well as the spirit of the historic wooden cabin. The exterior remind the typical Pueblos architecture very common in New Mexico.
The estate
David & Jody’s estate includes the homestead house, two other cabins where the rest of the family lives, the stables, the horse park but also a large teepee, a greenhouse, a relaxation area with swings and a fire pit for night fires, among others. A very relaxing setting laying at the bottom of the canyon with a little stream that run alongside. From there, you can go for scenid walks or horse rides.
David & Jody
While most of the family live on the property, David and Jody have been running the ranch for the past few years.
Jody is specialized in equitherapy and Natural Horsemenship, she will be the one to introduce you to western riding and teach you to work with horses and how to communicate with them.
David, often busy tinkering on the property, will take great care of you.
You will quickly see that David and Jody are amazing hosts. You will enjoy spending time with them, in the ranch or by the fire preparing S’mores!

Accomodation option
David & Jody can accommodate 3 couples and up to 4 kids. The ranch includes :
- Double room with private bathroom on the first floor x1
- Double room with private bathroom upstairs with an extra bed x2
OR
- Whole house : 3 rooms and possibility to add extra beds for kids)
Eating at the ranch
You can go with or without meals and decide if you want to dine-in or eat in town. A traditional cooking will be served on site (BBQ ribs, rosemary chicken, lentil soup, Chili verde, tortillas…).
You will find a lot of restaurants in Montrose.
